Here at Bop till you Drop we see a wide variety of themes for kids parties and with Halloween coming, we thought we’d share with you some of our favourite Halloween party tips. You can find these and many more on our Pinterest account.

Halloween tip 1: Monster cookies

Source: Savory Nothings

Monster in nature and not in size. These chocolate chip biscuits are bound to be a hit! We think that a quick version would be to grab some ready made chocolate biscuits, chocolate icing, and white chocolate buttons. Hand them over to the kids and let them decorate their own monster faces.

Halloween tip 2: Black Cat Costume

You can hear it now, “Can we go Trick or Treating, please?” and dread fills you when realise that they don’t have a costume. Here’s a quick Halloween costume idea to have you out the door while it’s still daylight.

Halloween tip 3: Pom pom spider

There’s something about spiders which just screams… Halloween. Thankfully this spider craft will not have your little one screaming.

Halloween tip 4: Paper pumpkin craft

After spiders, and perhaps witches, the next most popular Halloween symbol is the pumpkin. Make these paper strip pumpkins and even add some stick on face parts such as lips or crazy eyes.

Halloween tip 5: Pumpkin door hanger

This door hanger is a fun way to get into the Trick or Treat spirit but also handy if you don’t want the constant interruption; a small wording change of “Please take one” will have dinner uninterrupted and tricks away from your yard!

Halloween tip 6: Haunted lunch box

Most years, Halloween falls on a weekday and so why not bring the fun of the day into their lunch box?

Halloween tip 7: Pin the spider game

This is a great twist on the Pin the tail on the donkey game and it’s also great for kids who might be too young or families who don’t want to go out Trick or Treating but want to have some Halloween fun at home.

Halloween tip 8: Friendly & soft ghost craft

Who said ghosts were scary? This ghost craft is great for little fingers, building their fine motor skills and having fun with glue and cotton wool (you can imagine the fluffy fingers) at the same time.

Halloween tip 9: Healthy Halloween snacks

Halloween doesn’t have to mean chocolate and lollies and it certainly doesn’t have to mean missing out on the fun of Halloween if your children don’t or can’t eat these foods. So we love these Halloween themed snacks.

Halloween tip 10: Class gift

For those who like to give class room gifts or for P&F fundraising, these lolly ghost pops are a cute and fun idea for the kids to bring Halloween to school.
